Hi, I’m Dan, a Data Scientist with 6+ years of experience working in the games industry.
I received a B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science and M.Sc. in Data Science from Lancaster University (UK) in 2016 and 2017 respectively. Since graduating I have worked on machine learning and analytics systems for video games, e-commerce and adtech, at companies including SEGA and Unity. Most recently I began PhD studies at Aalto University, Finland, with the mission of using AI to make better games and vice versa.

My passions lie in four areas: artificial intelligence, video games, mathematics and programming. My two aims for this site are: to be a hub for consolidating my learnings at the intersection of my four passion areas, and sharing those learnings in an easily digestible format. My commitment is to make those learnings as accessible as possible for a broad audience spanning from Indie Game Devs, to professional Data Scientists and Research Scientists.
